Personality:

Aladdin is a sweet little paint pony with a playful spirit. He loves running around with his pasture mates and has a gentle, calm nature that makes him easy to be around. He’s especially fond of treats and enjoys spending time with people.

Training and Development:

Aladdin is in the early stages of his training. He is currently working on becoming comfortable in new environments, learning how to interact gently with individuals, and picking up fun tricks to bring smiles to those he meets. He continues to make steady progress and shows great potential.

Role in the Program:

While still in training, Aladdin is preparing for future participation in therapy visits. His small size and calm demeanor make him wonderful candidate for working with individuals in a variety of settings.

His Story:

Aladdin was generously gifted to our program by a friend who wanted to help support the beginning of our therapy journey. Since joining us, he has settled in beautifully—enjoying time with his new horse friends and playing in the pasture when he’s not training.

Fun Fact:

Aladdin may be small, but he has a big personality—and he’ll happily remind you if you forget the treats!

T-Rex (aka Rex):

Breed: Miniature Horse
Height: 39"
Gender: Gelding

Personality:

Rex is a playful little palomino pony with a big personality. He loves cuddles, showing off his tricks, and making people smile. Whether he's meeting someone new or spending time with his favorite people, Rex is always happy to soak up the attention. Of course, he'll never turn down a snack or two, especially if you have some lying around in your pockets!

Training and Development:

Rex is well on his way in his therapy training and has already visited a variety of facilities, bringing smiles and joy everywhere he goes. He also has more than two years of trick training down under his belt and can lay down, sit, bow, paint, and so much more. He's always eager to learn something new and can't wait for his next visit!

Role in the Program:

Rex is ready to jump right into his role at Healing Tails! His previous experience, gentle personality, and willingness to interact with people make him a wonderful therapy pony. We can't wait to see the comfort, hope, and encouragement he brings to every visit.

His Story:

We found Rex in Virginia and knew almost immediately that he was the perfect fit for Healing Tails. After months of communication with his previous owner, and thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we were finally able to welcome him home. Since arriving in Louisiana, Rex has settled in beautifully, making friends with his new pasture mates and enjoying plenty of time running and playing between training sessions.

Rex loves following people around the pasture and will happily check your pockets to see if you remembered to bring treats!
